Bangladesh cement firms seek new export markets

To extend their current reach Bangladesh cement producers are searching for new export markets, said Additional Managing Director of Crown Cement Alamgir Kabir. The company's cement export is fully dependent on north-eastern states of India. Now the company is searching new destinations, he added.

The company has invited a number of new buyers to visit Bangladeshi cement industries and received a good response from the new destinations, he added. Currently, modest amounts of cement are shipped to northeast India and Myanmar, with the main exporters being Shah Cement, HeidelbergCement Bangladesh, Seven Circle, Unique Cement, MI Cement, Confidence Cement, Premier Cement and Aramit.
