Cement unit to use sludge

The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) aims to send the sludge from Secured Landfill Facility (SLF) I and II of the Ranipet SIDCO Finished Leather Effluent Treatment Company Pvt Ltd, to cement factories to be used as raw material. It is being estimated that 40 days will be required to transport the 5,000 tonne of sludge from SLFs to the company.
