UltraTech Cement

UltraTech Cement is the largest manufacturer of grey cement, ready-mix concrete (RMC) and white cement in India. The company has an installed capacity of 63 mtpa of grey cement. Further, with expansion projects under execution, the total capacity is set to increase by 18 per cent to around 71 mtpa (consolidated capacity at 74.8 mtpa) by the end of FY16. Its operations span across India, UAE, Bahrain, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. What´s more, the company is also India's largest exporter of cement reaching out to meet the demand in countries around the Indian Ocean and the Middle East. UltraTech had 30 per cent of its total sales from North India followed by 29 per cent from Western India. While 20 per cent of its sales were from a lesser price resilient Southern-India, 15 per cent of the sales were from Eastern India, where prices tend to remain stronger and higher in comparison to pan-India levels. The company has consistently remained ahead of its peers in terms of capacity expansion with a CAGR of 23 per cent over the past five years. For FY15, the revenue grew by 12.2 per cent at Rs 24,064.75 crore while the bottom-line marginally declined by 4.9 per cent to Rs 2,098.34 crore in FY15. .
