Cement major Shree Cement has begun commercial production at the firm's clinkerisation unit (kiln-3) at Baloda Bazar, near Raipur in Chhattisgarh last month. The plant has a production capacity of 12,000 tonne per day (4.0 million tonne per annum). Earlier in March, the firm had declared that it had started a trial run of its new clinkerisation plant.
