Mahanadi Coalfields dedicates 2-MW power plant

Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) has dedicated its first solar power plant of 2 MW capacity to the nation. The plant has been set up in Odisha at a cost of Rs 13.54 crore. The solar power project has been constructed across 8 acre and is expected to reduce electricity bills of the company by Rs 1.11 crore per year. The power generated by the MCL solar plant will feed the existing 11 kv grid of Odisha´s power distribution company WESCO.
