Tata Steel JV asked to secure forest nod for coal mine

Tata Steel, Adhunik Power and Natural Resource will have to secure forest approval for operating the Ganeshpur Coalmine in Latehar, Jharkhand, which was allocated to them for their thermal projects. Recently, the Ministry of Environment and Forest asked the JV to secure forest clearances before seeking environment nod for the project for the diversion of land for non-forestry purposes.
