Govt to commission Bawana unit in mid November

With the oil ministry allocating natural gas, the Delhi Government decided to commission the Rs 4,500 crore, 1,500 MW Pragati Phase-III power plant in Bawana in the second week of November.ONGC will supply around 1.564 mmscmd (million metric standard cubic metres per day) gas to the 1,500 MW capacity plant from western offshore fields, and the fuel will be priced at $5.25 per mn British thermal units.The centre had allocated 0.93 million cubic metre per day of gas (mmcmd) from Reliance's Andhra off-shore KG-D6 fields for the plant for 2009-10 and 2010-11.Contact: ONGC.Tel: 0135-2759 561.Website: www.ongcindia.com
