Jaipur energy minister B D Kalla has sent a proposal to the centre to introduce a mechanism for promoting solar cells and modules manufacturing.

Khuba, along with the Rajasthan government, would extend the sops if the central government decided to offer incentives. According to the industry's representatives, if the state and centre decide on a policy mechanism to promote manufacturing, the solar sector would be intended to build a vibrant manufacturing solar sector.
