The Andhra Pradesh Government plans to separate the power distribution for farmers and rural households, and in this regard, it is considering erecting a parallel rural distribution network of 11 kV feeders spanning 150,766 km.
The state government sought a Rs 3,014 crore grant from the Central government for the feeder segregation project under the National Electricity Fund or Restructured Rajiv Gandhi Grameena Vidyut Yojana. Once implemented, the project will ensure quality and continuous supply of power to rural areas.
