Areva, NPCIL in talks on Maharashtra N-project
The agreement on the 10,000 MW nuclear power project to be set up in Maharashtra by Nuclear Power Corporation India (NPCIL) in a technical collaboration with French power equipment-maker Areva, will be finalised by December.
Areva will supply two European pressurised reactors (EPRs) of 1,650 MW of a total six in the next few years. Moreover, discussions with Alstom for tie-up with BHEL and NPCIL have been in progress.
