ECL to get power connection from DPSC again

Following the decision of the Calcutta High Court asking Eastern Coalfields (ECL) to pay a 45-day security deposit (in cash) to power utility DPSC, the utility has restored power connection to the former. DPSC disconnected power supply to ECL for non-payment of security deposits (bank guarantee). Coal extraction in some mines of ECL had been hit after DPSC snapped power supply for non-payment of Rs 63 crore as security deposit.
