J&K adds just 1.26 MW in the Eleventh Plan

Jammu and Kashmir, currently a power-starved state, has been able to add to its power kitty just 1.26 MW of energy in the Eleventh Five Year Plan period against the originally planned 1,800 MW. On the contrary, Government of India subsidiary, National Hydropower Corporation (NHPC), during the same period, added a whopping 510 MW of energy to its kitty from new power projects in the state.
