JSL and Orissa Govt to set up power plant

JSL Ltd has signed an MoU with the Orissa Government for establishment of 1,320 MW supercritical thermal power plant in Dhenkanal district with an investment of Rs 7,375 crore. As per terms of the MoU, JSL Ltd will draw water from the Mahanadi river system for the project. The state would avail around 158 to 185 MW from this project at variable cost.
