Power Mech Wins Rs 25 billion BHEL Order for Singareni TPS

Power Mech Projects Limited (PMPL) has secured a contract valued at over Rs 25 billion from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) for executing the Balance of Plant (BoP) package on an EPC basis at the 1 x 800 MW Singareni Thermal Power Station (Stage II) in Pegadapalli, Jaipur Mandal, Mancherial district, Telangana.

The project, awarded to BHEL by Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) as part of its expansion of the existing 2 x 600 MW units, will be executed over 38 months. PMPL’s scope includes engineering, procurement, and construction of the coal and biomass handling system, ash handling system, utilities, induced draft cooling tower, water and wastewater treatment plant, fire protection system, and associated civil, structural, electrical, and C&I works.

Sajja Kishore Babu, Chairman and Managing Director of PMPL, said the project will further strengthen the company’s EPC portfolio and reinforce its position as a leading engineering and construction player. He added that thermal power remains critical to India’s energy security and grid stability, even as the country accelerates its renewable energy transition. The project will incorporate cleaner technologies and biomass co-firing for enhanced efficiency and sustainability.

PMPL continues to expand its presence in the power and infrastructure sectors globally, with a focus on quality, safety, and timely execution of large-scale projects.
