PM pumps in funds for power in UP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi´s government at the Centre, increased budgetary provision for UP´s ailing power sector by almost 10 times, even as the state moves into the election year. As reported, the budgetary increase would essentially be wheeled into centrally sponsored schemes like Deendayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana (DUGJY) and Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS).
