Power min to invite bids for Orissa ultra-mega power project by May end

Initial bids for the 20,000 crore, 4,000 MW ultra-mega power project, at Bedabahal in Orissa will be invited as per schedule. The power ministry has made it clear that it will not be bound by the conditional clearance granted to the project by the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF).
