TNEB launches Bhavani Hydroelectric project

As part of enhancing power generation in the state, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB), launched the Rs 497 crore 30 MW Barrage phase-II of Bhavani Hydroelectric Project. Located at Vendipalayam, this comprises two units with a capacity of producing 15 MW each. By commissioning the project, TNEB will be able to produce 95 mn units per year.
