ACME Solar Commissions 68 MW of Gujarat Wind Project

Renewable energy company ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commenced operations of 68 MW capacity from its 100 MW wind power project at Surendranagar in Gujarat, the company said in a statement.

The project is being commissioned in phases through its subsidiary ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd. With the addition of 12 MW in the latest phase, the project’s total operational capacity has reached 68 MW out of the planned 100 MW.

Electricity generated from the wind project will be sold under a 25-year power purchase agreement signed between ACME Eco Clean Energy and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The project has been financed by Power Finance Corporation.

Gurugram-based ACME Solar is an integrated renewable energy developer with a diversified portfolio spanning solar, wind, storage, firm and dispatchable renewable energy and hybrid solutions. The company currently has an operational capacity of 2,958 MW and projects under construction totalling 4,562 MW, including 15 GWh of battery energy storage system installations.
