Diamond Power Infra Wins Rs 1.8516 Billion Conductor Order

Diamond Power Infrastructure (DPIL) has received a letter of award from Adani Energy Solutions on behalf of its project special purpose vehicles for the supply of aluminium alloy conductors valued at Rs 1.8516 billion (bn). The contract covers design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, packing, dispatch and transportation on a delivery-at-place basis.

The scope includes the supply of 1,050 km of AL59 Moose conductors for the Tuticorin transmission project and 3,770 km of AL59 Zebra conductors for the Pune-III project. The order value of Rs 1.8516 bn is inclusive of packing, forwarding, freight and transit insurance charges but excludes GST.

The contract is governed by a variable pricing mechanism linked to the London Metal Exchange aluminium price, an aluminium premium and the USD/INR exchange rate. Base pricing was calculated using an aluminium LME price of $2,550 per metric tonne, a premium of $106 per metric tonne and a USD/INR rate of 87, and the final realised value may vary under the agreed price variation formula.

Deliveries are scheduled between July 2026 and February 2027, with delivery locations to be communicated separately by Adani Energy Solutions. DPIL clarified that the order was awarded by a domestic entity and is not a related party transaction and said none of its promoters or promoter group entities has any interest in the purchaser.

Diamond Power Infrastructure is engaged in the manufacture of power cables and conductors and supplies products across voltage levels from 1.1 kV to 400 kV to utilities, engineering procurement and construction contractors, renewable energy developers and industrial customers. On the financial front, consolidated net profit rose 691.25 per cent year-on-year to Rs 606.1 mn for the quarter ended March 2026 from Rs 76.6 mn, while revenue from operations increased 108.46 per cent to Rs 6.9587 bn from Rs 3.3381 bn, and the scrip fell 0.64 per cent to Rs 224.90 on the BSE on 16 July 2026.
