GK Energy Delivers 17% of Solar Pumps in MSEDCL Record

GK Energy has announced the successful installation of 7,620 off-grid solar-powered agricultural pumps in Maharashtra, contributing about 17 per cent of the total 45,911 installations completed under the Guinness World Record initiative led by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL). All installations were executed within a 30-day window from 27 October to 25 November 2025, reflecting the company’s execution scale and operational strength.

Beyond its EPC responsibilities, GK Energy also served as Strategic Advisor to MSEDCL, supporting concept development, planning, coordination, documentation, design frameworks and stakeholder management to ensure timely delivery of the record-setting programme. The work was undertaken as part of the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana, the state’s flagship scheme promoting off-grid solar irrigation.

Company Quote: “Contributing nearly 17 per cent of the total installations within 30 days highlights our execution strength. Serving as both Strategic Advisor and Vendor underscores the trust placed in us by MSEDCL and the Government of Maharashtra. Our focus remains on scalable, decentralised solar solutions that support sustainable agriculture,” said Gopal Kabra, CMD & CEO, GK Energy.

The initiative is expected to enhance Maharashtra’s solar irrigation ecosystem by reducing reliance on grid power and diesel, lowering energy costs for farmers and supporting reliable daytime irrigation. GK Energy continues to grow as a leading EPC provider for solar-powered agricultural pump systems across rural India.
