Jindal Stainless, Indian Oil Renew Five-Year Lubricants Partnership

Jindal Stainless and Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) have renewed their lubricants partnership for five years, with the companies seeking to deepen technical cooperation and strengthen energy and lubrication supply support for manufacturing operations. The agreement was signed at Jindal Stainless’ Hisar unit.

The renewed arrangement extends the Lubricants Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) partnership between the companies. It is intended to support equipment reliability, operational efficiency and manufacturing continuity as Jindal Stainless continues to manage the requirements of its industrial operations.

Jindal Stainless Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal said the renewal would build on the organisations’ long-standing association and shared focus on quality, reliability and technical excellence. He said the extended term would create an opportunity to broaden engagement and identify additional areas of technical cooperation.

Indian Oil Executive Director for the Northern Region and State Head for its DSO business, Hemant Rathore, described the renewal of the Consumer’s Operated Lube Depot (COLD) agreement as an important milestone in the relationship. He said Indian Oil’s support extended beyond lubricants to energy supplies for Jindal Stainless, including light diesel oil (LDO), high-speed diesel (HSD), low sulphur heavy stock (LSHS) and propane.

The companies said the extended partnership would support their wider engagement in lubricants and energy supplies while addressing the increasing focus of industrial operations on equipment reliability, efficiency and performance. The arrangement is also expected to provide a basis for further technical cooperation as manufacturing requirements develop.

Jindal Stainless said the partnership’s scope could extend beyond immediate supply requirements by supporting longer-term operational needs. The renewed five-year agreement therefore combines managed lubricant inventory with energy supply support and continued collaboration between the two organisations.
