Jyoti Structures Secures Rs. 6.49 bn Gujarat Transmission Order

Jyoti Structures has received a Notification of Award from Power Grid Corporation of India for a transmission line project in Gujarat valued at Rs. 6.49 bn, excluding Goods and Services Tax. The contract covers the supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a ±800 kV High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission line under package TL05.

The package forms part of the Barmer-II and South Kalamb Transmission Lines project. Jyoti Structures will execute the work on a turnkey basis, taking responsibility for the complete scope from supply and construction through testing and commissioning.

The project is scheduled for completion within 38 months from the date of the Notification of Award. The order is not a related-party transaction, and the company said its promoters, promoter group and group companies do not have any interest in the awarding entity.

Jyoti Structures is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India. The company has manufacturing facilities in Nashik and Raipur, along with a testing station and research and development centre in Igatpuri, Maharashtra.

The Gujarat award adds to Jyoti Structures’ portfolio of power infrastructure projects and strengthens its presence in the transmission segment. The contract requires the company to deliver a large-scale HVDC line, an infrastructure system used to transmit electricity over long distances with high-voltage direct current technology.

The order was disclosed through a regulatory filing submitted to the National Stock Exchange of India. The company’s responsibilities under the award will continue through the project’s scheduled 38-month execution period, subject to the terms and conditions set out in the contract.
