KPI Green Energy Bags Rs 6,210 Million NTPC Renewable Energy Order

KPI Green Energy has secured an order from NTPC Renewable Energy valued at Rs 6,210 million (Rs 6,210 mn), the company said. The contract was confirmed in a regulatory filing and forms part of the company order intake for the current financial period. KPI Green Energy is a renewable energy developer and engineering, procurement and construction contractor listed in India.

The order covers development services and project execution for renewable energy assets and will be integrated into the firm project schedule, the filing added. The scope includes engineering, procurement and construction and associated project management activities to meet the client requirements. The company noted that work will commence as per the agreed timelines and project milestones.

The company said the order will be added to its order book and will bolster revenue visibility for the coming quarters. Management indicated that the contract aligns with the company strategic priorities to expand its portfolio in the renewable segment and to strengthen long term execution capabilities. The company added that revenue will be recognised in line with applicable accounting norms as project milestones are achieved.

NTPC Renewable Energy is the renewable arm of a state owned power producer and invests in wind and solar projects across the country. The transaction underscores ongoing investment flows into the clean energy sector and provides KPI Green Energy with a medium sized contract to support its operational plans. Market participants will refer to subsequent exchange filings for specifics on milestone dates and revenue recognition.
