NTPC Green Energy Signs MoU for Renewables in Uttar Pradesh

NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to develop renewable energy and green hydrogen projects in the state.

The MoU was signed on 22 January 2026 on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. The agreement focuses on providing renewable energy solutions to support green hydrogen initiatives in Uttar Pradesh, strengthening the state’s clean energy ecosystem.

The MoU was signed by Vijay Kiran Anand, Chief Executive Officer of Invest UP and UPSIDA, and DMR Panda, Executive Director of NTPC Green Energy, in the presence of Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Suresh Kumar Khanna and senior officials from the state government and NTPC.

The partnership is expected to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy infrastructure and facilitate the growth of green hydrogen production in Uttar Pradesh, aligning with India’s broader decarbonisation and energy transition goals.
