NTPC Pays Rs. 33.94 bn Final Dividend for FY26

State-owned National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has paid a final dividend of Rs. 33.94 bn to its shareholders for FY26, according to a company statement issued on 23 September 2026.

The payment takes NTPC’s total dividend for the financial year to Rs. 87.27 bn. The overall distribution is equivalent to Rs. 9 per equity share, with each share having a face value of Rs. 10.

The final dividend represents 35 per cent of the company’s paid-up equity share capital. NTPC said the payment was made on 23 September, completing the distribution planned for FY26.

The final payment follows two interim dividends of Rs. 26.67 bn each. NTPC paid the first interim dividend in November 2025 and the second in February 2026.

The company operates under the Ministry of Power and is India’s largest power generation company. It caters to about one-fourth of the country’s electricity demand and has an installed generation capacity of more than 91,000 MW.
