Power Mech Secures Rs 2,662.6 mn O&M Contract For Adani Plant

Power Mech Projects has secured a KPI-based operations and maintenance contract from Adani Infrastructure Management Services for a two 300 Megawatt (MW) thermal power plant at Butibori in Maharashtra. The domestic deal has a total value of Rs 2,662.6 million (Rs 2,662.6 million) and will be executed at arm's length. The company will provide services under a performance-linked framework.

The scope covers operations and maintenance under key performance indicators for the twin-unit plant and will run for 60 months from 01 July 2026 to 30 June 2031. The arrangement does not constitute a related party transaction, and the promoter and promoter group companies have no interest in the awarding entity. The contract is classified as a domestic order.

Power Mech Projects is an engineering and construction company that offers integrated services in erection, testing and commissioning (ETC) of boilers, turbines and generators, balance of plant work, civil works and operation and maintenance services across power, infrastructure and industrial sectors. The firm will apply its ETC and O&M capabilities to meet the KPI thresholds stipulated by the client. The engagement is expected to involve routine maintenance, performance optimisation and regulatory compliance activities.

In the quarter ended 31 March 2026, the company reported a 21.6 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,425.5 million (Rs 1,425.5 mn) from the corresponding period a year earlier, and revenue from operations rose 13.89 per cent to Rs 21,107.3 million (Rs 21,107.3 mn). Share trading reflected a modest positive reaction with the stock rising 0.55 per cent to Rs 25,013.10 on the BSE. Management stated that the contract will support recurring revenue and operational presence in Maharashtra.

The contract will be implemented through the company's existing operations team and will be monitored under the KPI framework for the duration of the agreement. The award reinforces the company's O&M credentials in the domestic thermal power segment.
