Power Mech Projects Wins Rs. 5.49 bn Adani O&M Contract

Power Mech Projects has secured an operation and maintenance (O&M) contract valued at Rs. 5.49 bn from Moxie Power Generation, an Adani Group company, for the Tuticorin thermal power plant. The Hyderabad-based infrastructure-construction company disclosed the award on Tuesday, September 29, according to an exchange filing.

The contract covers complete O&M services for the 2x600 MW Moxie Power Generation Tuticorin thermal power plant. The assignment is focused on maintaining and operating the generating facility, with Power Mech Projects responsible for the full range of services included in the awarded scope.

The agreement will run for 60 months and will take effect on October 1. The effective date means the service period is scheduled to begin shortly after the company’s disclosure, while the stated duration provides a defined term for the plant’s operations and maintenance requirements.

Moxie Power Generation is the contracting entity identified in the filing and is part of the Adani Group. The award therefore places Power Mech Projects in a service relationship with an Adani Group company for the Tuticorin facility, with the work covering the plant’s ongoing operational requirements rather than a new construction assignment.

Power Mech Projects is an infrastructure-construction company based in Hyderabad. The newly announced contract expands the company’s disclosed project activity into a long-term O&M engagement for a thermal power plant, while the filing identifies the contract value, scope, contracting entity, commencement date and duration as the principal terms of the award. No additional commercial terms were provided in the announcement.
