Tender Issued for Jaipur GIS Substation Project

Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam has floated a tender for constructing a high-capacity Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) at Gokul Nagar on Kalwar Road in Jaipur district. The proposed facility includes a 220/132 kilovolt substation with two 160 megavolt-ampere transformers and a 132/33 kilovolt section with two 50 megavolt-ampere transformers. The scope of work involves surveying, equipment supply, erection, and civil works for both the substation and its associated transmission lines.

This upgrade will enable more efficient and reliable electricity distribution in Jaipur by using advanced GIS technology, which reduces space requirements and improves system performance. The contract is valued at Rs 1.27 billion and must be completed within 18 months. The deadline for bid submission is 14 May 2025.
