Ambuja Cements recorded a Q1 FY24 net profit of Rs`6.45 billion down 38 per cent YoY due to the previous year's high base effect from increased other income. Standalone revenue surged 18.29 per cent to `47.2971 billion. With a focus on ESG standards, the company ordered expansion of clinker capacity by 8 million tonne at Bhatapara (Chhattisgarh) and Maratha (Maharashtra) units, incorporating 42 MW of waste heat recovery systems, 50 per cent alternative fuels and raw material utilisation and green power operation provisions.
