UltraTech Cement has inaugurated a 1.2 million tonne per annum (MTPA ) cement capacity expansion in Magdalla, Gujarat, raising the unit's total capacity to 1.93 MTPA . This amplifies the company's overall grey cement manufacturing capacity in India to 132.45 MTPA . UltraTech Cement's Q2 FY23 posted a net profit of Rs16.9 billion, which marked a 7 per cent increase from the previous year's `15.82 billion during the same quarter.
