New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) has estimated that the green hydrogen (GH) sector in AP has a $15 billion investment opportunity. The state is looking to produce 500 kiloton per annum (KTPA) of GH by 2030. It may be processed to produce green ammonia, green methanol, etc. A large part of this (about 70 per cent) may be required to create renewable energy infrastructure, while the remaining may be utilised for electrolyser capacity additions.
