Expanding the horizons of JSW Neo Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, Prashant Jain, Jt Managing Director & CEO, JSW Energy adds a new achievement to the company’s longstanding history. In what is the largest acquisition made by JSW Energy since its inception, it has acquired 1,753 MW of renewable energy assets from Mytrah Energy (India). The transaction values the Mytrah Energy portfolio at an enterprise valuation of Rs 101.50 billion. This entails the acquisition of 15 SPVs and 13 ancillary SPVs along with a portfolio of 1,753 MW comprising 1,331 MW of wind capacity and 422 MW of solar. The deal will leapfrog JSW Energy’s current operational capacity by over 36 per cent from 4,811 MW to 6,564 MW.
