Sany India is participating in the Khadagwasla dam CSR activity.Since its establishment, the SANY Group has been firmly committed to serving local communities and assisting in charitable activities, development initiatives and disaster relief. It is guided by one of its main corporate missions: “To make first-class contributions to society.” Amrutdhara programmeWater scarcity and water inequality is one of the major concerns affecting India’s overall development. To address the issue of drinking water needs of disadvantaged communities, the Amrutdhara Programme has been conceived and deployed under the aegis of Sumant Moolgaonkar Development Foundation (SMDF), a social arm of Tata Motors. This programme has been working towards providing safe drinking water across India. The programme not only addresses the concerns relating to safe drinking water but also helps in improving health, fostering gender equality and promoting social equality. The government renders support to complete the project-related processes and formalities. Community mobilisation and sustainability of the projects is ensured by voluntary organisations.  Excavator at work!SMDF has their initiative partner – Green Thumb, a charitable trust – to drive operations to remove slit from a stretch of 22 km along the sides of Khadakwasla Dam in the Pune region, to help increase its storage capacity and conduct tree plantation in the vicinity of the dam. A stretch of 10 km (2 m deep and 10 m wide) has been already been worked upon by Green Thumb and they were looking for a 20-tonne  excavator so that the rest of the task is completed with the help of the excavator before the monsoon sets in. CSR volunteer SANY India has taken a voluntary initiative and deployed a unit of SANY SY210 for rest of the de-silting work in the said project as a CSR activity. SANY believes in serving the communities it works with; focusing their efforts on the constituencies of girls, youth, and farmers, by supporting them in education, health and livelihood enhancement, and also with innovative programmes that harness the levelling power of technology. This machine will be deployed for close to 45 days to ensure timely completion of the overall project. SANY India entails running their business with integrity, responsibility and transparency, caring for the well-being of the planet and striving for the welfare of its employees, customers and the community.
