Mecalac has released its new eS1000 electric swing loader, which is part of the company’s E-series range of mediumsized, all-electric equipment. Other products include the 11-tonne E12 excavator, 6-ton eD6 site dumper and M-Power battery charging and power storage system. The company claims three of its E-machines on the same jobsite can save about 64 tonne of carbon dioxide a year, compared to equivalent diesel equipment. Powered by a 75 kWh battery, it “consumes only the right amount of energy for construction operations and optimises battery use,” resulting in eight hours of run time.
