The Centre has sanctioned Rs 17.82 billion for construction of a strategic road project in Arunachal Pradesh leading to the Line of Actual Control with China, Nitin Gadkari, Minister, Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), wrote. The strategically crucial road will substantially reduce travel time for security forces, enhancing their efficiency in reaching border areas. The 82-km-long Greenfield road project will stretch from Pango to Jorging in the Upper Siang district. The proposed project aims to ensure seamless and secure traffic flow, establishing year-round connectivity to villages in the region.
