Maharashtra is set to develop a world-class theme park in Navi Mumbai, inspired by Disneyland, as part of its vision to make Mumbai a global tourism hub. The government plans to offer incentives like lease rent subsidies, extended lease tenures, and increased Floor Space Index (FSI) to attract investors.Expected to generate thousands of jobs, the park is projected to significantly boost Mumbai’s tourism revenue by FY30. CIDCO aims to complete land allocation by 2025-26, with bidding by 2026-27 and phased construction leading to an expected opening by 2030. As per official documents, Mumbai’s film industry may play a key role in shaping the park’s unique entertainment experiences.
