Freyr Energy, a leading tech-enabled rooftop solar company, has secured an equity investment of Rs 580 million. The round was led by EDFI ElectriFI and other investors are Schneider Electric Energy Asia Fund, Lotus Capital, MaybrightVentures and VT Capital.  Abhishek Agarwal (Founder and Managing Partner, Lotus Capital) said, “Rooftop solar makes up less than 2 per cent of the energy mix today and solar power, which is 60 per cent less expensive than grid power presents a substantial market opportunity.” Freyr is trying to make designing, procuring and installing rooftop solar a hassle-free experience for customers.Servotech Power Systems (SPSL), India’s leading EV charger manufacturer recently signed two MOUs with IIT Roorkee to develop state-of-the-art rectifier units for CCS2 chargers and onboard electric vehicle (EV) chargers for 2, 3 and 4-wheelers.
