The Odisha government’s state-level single window clearance authority (SLSWCA) approved 12 investment projects worth Rs.27.94 billion. The authority approved the projects which would generate over 4,700 jobs. The proposal of Hindalco to set up an aluminium battery foil manufacturing facility in Sambalpur at an investment of Rs.8.34 billion was approved. In semiconductors, RIR Power Electronics’ proposal for a manufacturing facility at Info-Valley in Khurda was approved. In steel, Khedaria Ispat, Fourstar Metaliks, New Laxmi Steel and Power and Abhirav Industries will invest nearly Rs.9 billion to establish units in Jajpur and Sundargarh.
