The Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) has introduced two more passenger boarding aerobridges, increasing the total to six. This addition offers airlines a crucial operational advantage, particularly during the monsoon season, by eliminating challenges associated with transferring passengers between aircraft and terminal through open bays. The aerobridges integrate with the modern terminal infrastructure, optimising the airport’s 11 parking stands; six stands are now aerobridgeconnected while the others remain open bays.
