India aims to operationalise 76 National Waterways by 2027, with 47 new additions and cargo volumes expected to rise to 156 MTPA by FY26, according to Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Coal India has commissioned India’s first indigenously developed electric rope shovel at the Nigahi Project of its subsidiary Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. As per news reports, the Maharashtra cabinet has approved the 2025 Housing Policy, marking the state’s first comprehensive housing roadmap since 2007.
