Tata Adds New Subsea Cable to Boost Asia Connectivity

Tata Communications has announced a major expansion of its global network infrastructure with the integration of the TGN-IA2 submarine cable system, constructed by the Asia Direct Cable (ADC) consortium. This strategic addition strengthens connectivity across Asia and to key regions including the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India.

The TGN-IA2 system is designed to offer high-capacity data transfer, scalable bandwidth, and seamless connectivity for enterprises, hyperscalers, and service providers seeking robust intra-Asia and intercontinental network solutions. Its integration with Tata Communications’ existing assets provides a unified platform for diversified, low-latency, and resilient global connectivity.

Unlike conventional consortium-based cables, Tata Communications maintains full ownership and operational control of TGN-IA2’s capacity upgrades.
