Qualified youths in MP to be trained as road contractors

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that three-month training will be imparted to youths under Mukhyamantri Yuva Contractor Yojna for preparing good contractors. During training, each engineering degree holder will be given Rs 10,000 and diploma holder Rs 8,000.

Chouhan was addressing inaugural function of Bhopal Bypass Berasia Road on April 6. At the function, foundation stones for four-lane Bhopal Bypass and Chhola Road over-bridge and two-lane project of Bhopal-Berasia-Sironj Road was laid. The State Public Works Minister Nagendra Singh said that 90,000 km long roads have been constructed in the state during the last 9 years.

Roads in urban areas have been improved. The PWD has chalked out a scheme to link 55 000villages of the state with roads. Higher Education Minister Laxmikant Sharma said that construction of good roads will expedite process of development in the state.
