BMC is set to kickstart bids for the 22.3-km Versova-Dahisar Sea Link, a major project valued at `350 billion. With the blueprint finalised, bid documents are due in a week. This multi-phase endeavour, spanning five years, faces challenges like environmental approvals, concerns of the Gorai fishing community, and land acquisition. The project comprises at-grade roads, elevated sections, tunnels, sea links and cable-stayed bridges.
