Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister and Lucknow MP on completion of revamping of Gomtinagar railway station said Lucknow is now positioned to become a world-class railway hub, showcasing modern amenities and infrastructure. He highlighted the significance of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme in Uttar Pradesh, which involves redevelopment of 554 stations and the inauguration and foundation stone-laying of 1,500 railway overbridges, amounting to an investment of Rs 410 billion. The defence minister lauded the completion of the Gomtinagar railway station redevelopment, costing Rs 3.78 billion, emphasising that the project was executed with efficiency, using only a quarter of the estimated budget.
