Swan Defence and Heavy Industries (SDHI) has signed an exclusive MoU with European offshore vessel leader Royal IHC, with Alar Infrastructure as the Indian representative. The partnership aims to design, build, and retrofit Offshore Construction Vessels, Pipe Laying Vessels, and Multi-Purpose Offshore Support Vessels at SDHI’s Pipavav shipyard in Gujarat. Combining Royal IHC’s global expertise with SDHI’s infrastructure and skilled workforce, the collaboration supports Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, enhancing India’s offshore shipbuilding capabilities and cost competitiveness.
