bauma ConExpo Exclusive: Vector can deliver a floor in five to seven days: Eastman

-Inputs by Ashish Dhir, Chief Operating Officer, Eastman Impex

What were the key products showcased by Eastman Impex at Bauma CONEXPO India 2026?
As we celebrate 30 years of the Eastman Group, we are expanding our scaffolding and formwork portfolio with the launch of Vector, our brand for aluminium monolithic formwork systems.
The system addresses the growing demand from high-rise residential projects, particularly in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. With more high-rise developments coming up, there is a strong need for formwork systems that enable faster construction.

What differentiates Vector from conventional steel formwork?
Vector is a lightweight aluminium system that is easier to handle and does not require a crane for movement between floors. Workers can assemble, dismantle and move the system to the next level.
A complete floor can be cast and the system moved to the next level within five to seven days, enabling faster floor cycles.

How can this improve project timelines?
Time is critical for high-rise residential projects, particularly with stipulated project timelines. Unlike heavy steel formwork, which requires cranes for movement, the lightweight Vector system can be manually handled.
The faster floor cycle can help developers accelerate construction and complete projects within tighter schedules.

Where do you see the biggest opportunities for Vector in India?
Our immediate focus is on Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, where we see significant growth in high-rise residential construction. We are initially targeting Punjab and adjoining states, with plans to expand the offering across India over time.

How important is localisation to Eastman’s India strategy?
Eastman has traditionally been strong in export markets, particularly Europe and North America, but we are now increasing our focus on the Indian market.
The quality and infrastructure standards we follow for export markets provide a strong foundation for serving Indian customers. Our experience in these markets will help us bring quality products to India.

Are you looking at partnerships to expand the business?
We have developed strong relationships with our customers and have worked with them on joint engineering and design exercises, which have helped us build technical expertise. For now, Vector is being launched independently by the Eastman Group. We remain open to partnerships for other busine
