JCB suspends operations temporarily due to second wave of Covid-19

Manufacturer and supplier of heavy construction machines JCB India has temporarily suspended operations across all its manufacturing facilities in India for 10 days due to the second wave of Covid-19.

JCB India told the media taking the safety of its employees into account, due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases in India, the company has decided to temporarily stop operations for 10 days, starting 1st of May 2021. The company said the measures apply to all its manufacturing units at Ballabgarh, Pune and Jaipur.

The company said it has enough inventory to support the demand for its products during this period. Customer and dealer facing functions will operate normally with adherence to local guidelines. According to the company, there will be no disruption in product support for equipment being used by its customers due to this pause.

JCB has more than 700 outlets across India.
