Foundation stone laid for TSMMH
Railway Ministry recently laid the foundation stone for Tapan Sinha Memorial Metro Hospital (TSMMH) in Kolkata. The multi-facility hospital is set to be constructed on 3,705 sq m in Chanditala at an estimated cost of Rs 21.76 crore. Initially, the hospital will have 75-beds, which willlater be upgraded to 150-beds.
Unlike other railway hospitals, 50 per cent beds at TSMMH will be reserved for the general public particularly the poor. Some seats will also be reserved for studio technicians from Tollywood.
