Nalcos Rs.1800 cr caustic soda plant

National Aluminium Company (Nalco) recently laid the foundation stone for the Rs 1,800 crore caustic soda plant proposed at Dahej in Gujarat. The company has forged a JVC with the Gujarat Government owned Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals for the plant that will produce 270,000 caustic soda per annum. Nalco is also in the process of setting up a 0.5 mtpa Alumina Refinery in Kutch district of Gujarat in JV with Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC), a Gujarat government undertaking.
