Odisha undertakes mega Rs.2,000-cr infra development

Aiming to build a city of international standard, the Odisha state government has undertaken a Rs 2,000 crore project. This includes flyovers, water sports complex, ropeways and loop roads in the town, in addition to a new bridge on the Mahanadi River. Worth Rs 109 crore, the bridge, expected to be completed in two years, will connect Sambalpur town with villages on the other side. The other projects include a planetarium at Burla, a ropeway at Hirakud and a water sports complex near MCL corporate office.
